Tewit Silver Band was only formed in November 2017, as an adult arm of the long established Tewit Youth Band.
Its objective is to advance the participation, education and appreciation of the general public of all ages in the science of brass band music in Tewit and the surrounding areas through the provision of rehearsal facilities, instrument hire and tuition and by the participation in contests and concerts.
Under the baton and direction of Martin Hall, they enjoy entertaining people of all ages at concerts throughout the year.
As a contesting band they have had an amazing few years - successfully competing in The North of England Area Contests to gain promotion from 4th Section, into 3rd Section and then to the 2nd Section. This September, they are once again, travelling to the National Finals and in January will enter the 1st Section.
Tewit Silver Band are delighted to be appearing at Silsden Proms on the Farm again, for what is one of their favourite events!
